This is a follow up video to How To Create A Facebook Group. In this video I explain the steps you should take to edit your Facebook Group after you have created it in order to spruce it up and make it more appealing:

For this tutorial you should have already made a New Facebook Group. Please see the video linked in the description of this video if you need to know how to create a Facebook Group.

Once you have created your new Facebook Group you will want to add some finishing touches to make it more attractive and useful.

Make sure you are on the page for your group. Locate the “Edit Group” button and click on it.

You will be taken to this page. This is the “Basic Information” tab of the Group Settings.

Here you may choose an email address by clicking on the “Choose For Group” button. This is a special email address that can be used by group members to post to the group via email.

Click the button “Choose For Group” next to the words “Email Address”. This will open the email address selection dialog. Here you should type in an email address that makes sens for your group. Mine will be “HowToPhil” at groups.facebook.com

After you have typed in your email address click the “Choose Email Address” button and your new group email address is chosen, created, and linked to your Facebook Group.

You should also write a brief description of your group. After you have done so, click “Save Changes”.

Now you should upload a profile picture for your group. Click on the link to the left called “Profile Picture” and this page will load. Here you can select an image – I will use the HowToPhil square logo – to upload as a profile picture for the group. As soon as you select an image the upload will begin. Once it has finished uploading, your new group profile picture is active.

You may also add more members. Click on the link to the left called “Members” and you should see this page shortly.

Locate the link called “Add Friends to Group” when you click on this link the “Add Friends To Group” dialog box will appear. Here you can add friends by typing in their names. Remember, though it is possible to add friends to a group without asking first, this is frowned upon and should be avoided. Once you have made your list, click the “Add” button and your the selected friends will be added to the group.

Once you have finished editing your group click the button in the upper right called “Back To Group”
