Chris Abraham of Abraham Harrison llc sent along a rant about why you should love the robots that watch your content:

OK, here’s what you need to know!

There are not just people searching Twitter, Facebook, and Google.

There are robots: Google, Yahoo!, Bing, and many others.

When investing in Social Media – blogs, Facebook, Facebook Pages, Twitter, and other social networking services, you’re not merely expanding your immediate influence amongst your current, future, and potential customers, you’re investing in all the spiders and bots that are currently monitoring content online.

What this means is that you are both expanding and fortifying your brand in search, which is an essential part of both brand promotion and brand perception – brand and intellectual property ownership – online.

This means that well over half of your visitors are from search.

Over 80% of all of the traffic to a mature web presence comes from organic search online. Are you writing and creating content this with online?
