I was so happy to receive this lovely email from our new intern, Miss Ellie Brown:
I’ve completed my New Year’s Resolution already…starting my blog. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m happy I finally just did it. It’s http://elliebrown.wordpress.com.
We’re so proud that she’s going to be blogging her every day and her daily bread as an intern at Abraham Harrison — including blogging here — but I must admit that I’m a little intimidated!
Here’s the about page from her new blog, called Daily Social:
Hi everyone! This blog is a manifestation of all my thoughts, ideas, critiques, and cool internet findings. I try to focus mainly on the latest and greatest in social media since my life right now is all things communication. I’m in graduate school at American University and will be finishing with a master’s in Public Communication this summer, so when I say my life right now is all things communication it means school projects, my internship at Abraham Harrison LLC, and searching for an interesting and challenging PR job. But I also like a good funny cat video, advice columns, random pictures of my friends and family, public health and Africa and making casual, yet poignant, observations about the world around me. So you’ll see some of that in here too.
I’d love to hear all your (positive) comments, thoughts, advice on my blog, future, hairstyle, taste in music…whatever!
Ellie
I guess the social media transparency cuts both ways. I guess we’ll have to cease our elaborate plans for the traditional Washington, DC, intern’s public hazing and humiliation — drats! :) Well, Ellie, we’re really happy to have you on board — even more so that you’re getting full credit from AU, which is awesome news.
