I’ve noticed that among my friends the older folks are getting connected, blogging, making videos for youtube, tweeting like mad songbirds and doing just about every other social media thing you could imagine. Meanwhile the younger ones seem technologically challenged to the point of not being able to understand what “right click” means, or how to download a file. . .
Maybe it’s just my demographic slice, but it makes me worry about the future.

Interesting, but may be it’s because the younger generations have their own new technologies. They may not know what a “right click” is, because there is not right clicks on their iPhone’s touch screen. Also most of computer usage is via Web Services, and Web Applications compared to Desktop Applications, so they just don’t need to understand the retro desktop jargon such as “right click”, “alt-ctrl,delete”, etc. May be they do not use YouTube, because they prefer to watch videos on Facebook, even when the videos are originated from YouTube and are embedded in their Facebook’s news feed.
Wow – I sure don’t feel or experience anything like this! The kids just move on to newer things once we old farts have begun using them! So, Facebook is rapidly becoming passe while they’re using Twitter which I still don’t even understand. My two boys are completely connected and wired – to almost a destructive degree, in my opinion.
When students insure what to select, term paper or just miscellaneous essays paper, they could ask you, because you know the right way to finish the great story referring to this good post.
