I wanted to share my opinion on social media I am a returning student who at age 55 years old have always been an out of the box and abstract thinker. Even with the new high and lows on the social media trend I use it for the purpose of branding, start-ups and establishing a following with prospective clients. These are always in the most favorable position of your business. Each person that you contact and they reply can be a lead. To cultivate those relationships you have to take your head out of the sand take a chance and talk! Tell them the truth instead of promises. I believe if you level with people you might just be in for a surprise that we are more alike than not. I tend not to gravitate to those who are giving me the to good to be true side of things. I enjoy a little struggle every now and then that is when my creative licensing comes into play. When I went back to college that gave me the courage and know how to effectively communicate my ideas to the public and to my comrades who often were just as lost as I initially was but it's great to have a purpose and a direction~ You are doing a great job and with the topics every one can be added in there somewhere! Be brave and stand up and be counted you'll be glad you did!! Peace and Light!

Thanks for the shout-out here Lowell! The risk that these scared employees often underestimate is the fear that you mention at the end - sooner or later, these employees and organizations will die off if they don't adapt to this new environment. It's about risk mitigation, not risk aversion.
