These days, people are more than willing to share their success stories pertaining to their start-up businesses. Thousands of sites can be found on the web that contain essential steps to creating an entrepreneurial success. Some of the sites guide people through the process, while others just offer encouragement through the stories of success.

Take Workhappy.net for example. Blogger Carson McComas, a seasoned consultant to entrepreneurs and owner of four Web-based ventures, has been writing for two years offering people advice, ideas, and inspiration. He is quick to note that there are a lot of websites out there that offer a promise of getting rich quick; something he does not see as the answer or a reliable option. His interaction with his readers induces a considerable amount of interesting issues to be discussed and many helpful start-up ideas to arise.

Another great site on the web for aspiring entrepreneurs is FranchisePundit.com. Run by lawyer Ryan M. Knoll, his blog contains content about investing in franchises because the subject draws heavy commentary from readers. Mr. Knoll is deeply interested in franchises, and has found that about a quarter of his law-firm clients are professionals seeking counsel on buying franchises. His writings have helped a number of individuals grasp the concept of what it means to go out on your own and make a business work. This trend of people’s blogs correlating to their work is one that can be found all over the web.

The last site that needs some discussion is EscapefromCubicleNation.com. Almost ten years after quitting her professional consulting job to go out on her own, blogger Pamela Slim has started up this site to help other professionals switch to sole proprietorship. She focuses her blog posts on the emotional aspect of leaving the corporate world to start a business. “I write about the human side of that change — how to manage your personal fears in addition to getting the kind of information you need,” she explains. She receives about 150 emails a week from readers and chooses topics to blog about based on their questions and concerns, she says. The fore mentioned websites are just a few examples of some of the great sites that are out their offering council for aspiring entrepreneurs. There are a lot of smart people out there that would be wonderful sole proprietors and it is these sites that can help some of them achieve that goal. Looking ahead you can almost predict that the number of sole proprietors is going to double based on the information and encouragement that is out there.
