Based on a friend of mine who will be posting adolescent lit book reviews on her future web site, I have jumped-the-gun and dropped shipped lots of fantastic books to my team to get them to learn more about what we do at AHLLC as well as to write cool book reviews for this blog.

As they say in that awful HR/OD/motivational training training, Win-win-win-win-win; also, WI-IFM? Well, they get to keep the book! And, of course, fame, fortune, and they will, in their insightful brilliance, become thought leaders.

Wow, that might just be a win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win-win!

We’ll be featuring some of the coolest, hippest, snazziest, most futuristic and innovative books from the last few years, including “Cluetrain Manifesto” and “Pattern Recognition” (for the right people) .

Based on the summer reading list over at The Buzz Bin, I am drop-shipping books to interested team members who will promise to write nice little book reports for Marketing Conversation. So far in the queue is “The Long Tail,” and “Everything is Miscellaneous” but there will be more, that’s for sure.

  1. For the pure joy of reading:

‘Made to Stick ‘from the Heath brothers - how to paint classically beautiful word pictures. An essential skill you guys have obviously mastered with your ‘tin foil hats,’ but the rest of us can really use.

And ‘A Whole New Mind’ by Daniel Pink - who advocates that we ‘right brainers’ will inherit the earth. Or at least bring back the fine art of the metaphor…

  2. Another practical case study for publishers, self-publishers, and aspiring authors.

Sometimes we get so lost in the details that we forget to zoom out and see the big marketing situation.
