It looks like the old wives’ tale is true: you really are being judged by the company you keep. It looks like companies don’t like the company their ads are keeping on Facebook, according to Pocket-Link.co.uk
“Vodafone and First Direct were the first to do so after being made aware that their adverts were appearing next to undesirable content, such as the BNP’s group. The Halifax, Virgin Media, the Prudential, the AA have all also now withdrawn.” Via Pocket-Link.co.uk

In response to Chessia Kelley’s article, A new place to advertise: NYC taxicab touchscreens, I thought I would bring attention to the less friendly nature of the NYC taxi touchscreens, including two-way GPS that would allow dispatch to spy on each and every move the cabbies on New York make.

“Remember Daniel Lyons, the guy who lambasted the blogosphere in a notorious October 2005 hit piece for Forbes? He’s been revealed as the voice of the Fake Steve Jobs blog.” Via WebProNews

“Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign has hired prominent olitical blogger Peter Daou to help improve her image in the constituency and may play a significant role in selecting the party’s presidential nominee.” Via MarketingVOX
