I was hacking around in Hugg and Hugg is pretty much just an off-the-shelf installation of Drupal with a little bit of skinning and some template work. So, lots of this look and feel can change, if they were able to get a truly great CSS goddess.

I hope I'm not being overly critical, but it seems to me that environmental and nature organizations that sell themselves based on a web 2.0 look sacrifice too much. First, you sacrifice the beauty of natural design. Second, you sacrifice your branding. You aren't a web 2.0 organization...you are an environmental organization. Or at least a media organization interested in covering the environment.

I think the look is anything but natural--especially given the color scheme. The green they picked it both too light and too brown. So, a more appealing shade of green would have been nice. For instance eithe of the 2 greens you have on your page are great!

At the end of the day its about functionality. Just my humble opinion.
