It was only a matter of time before Facebook took some love from the sex offender and child predator hunters away from MySpace. Here’s some news from CNET News and MSNBC

“Facebook, the online social network, has stolen some of MySpace.com’s momentum with users and the news media. Now it is being subjected to the same accusations that it does not do enough to keep sexual predators off its site.” Via CNET News

“Earlier this month, MySpace, another popular Internet social network, said it detected and deleted 29,000 convicted sex offenders on its service, more than four times the figure it had initially reported.” Via MSNBC

  1. The way the media often positions this is as if these social networks are initially concealing something.

“deleted 29,000 convicted sex offenders on its service, more than four times the figure it had initially reported.”

    That adds to the hysteria.

And of course Facebook is going to get these types. And stalkers and scam artists and all sorts of lunatics.

I rarely see a specific suggestion as to what these networks can do.

  2. Wake the &*( up! First of all yes there are people who messed up and need assistance, But they’re people Not some *&(&*)in piece of *hit!
