Google made it clear on this week in Seattle that they are expanding AdSense into the world of casual gaming. Although the specifics are, as of yet, unreleased; they are at the very least eager to tap into the approximately 200M person market.
Veteran Bernie Stolar - of Atari, Sega, PSP fame – made the announcement for Google:
“I’m going to be very clear right now,” Stolar said. “Google is involved in in-game advertising. I’m going to say it one more time, in case there’s any misconceptions here: in-game advertising. This is an area that Google believes will have tremendous growth over the next number of years. …”
The addition of AdSense to this (huge) niche will almost certainly require a Flash integration as many web-based games run from this untapped platform.
So, is this Google charging forward and further solidifying themselves as a pioneering unstoppable force?
When will I get AdSense in my refrigerator?
