Will Facebook overtake MySpace? I don’t think it matters, do you? This is a case of quality over quantity. Well, at least in my personal experience, Facebook is spicy, sexy, but it isn’t raunchy. Maybe I am in the wrong Networks. That said, I feel safe in Facebook and I also feel engaged and connected. And if I get bored, I can poke someone or give them a silly monster or a stuffed toy as a gift.
“Despite impressive growth from Facebook during the past year, News Corp.’s MySpace continues to dominate the social networking arena in the U.S., according to Nielsen//NetRatings. Last month, MySpace had 59.7 million unique visitors.” Hollywood Reporter
I love Facebook in a real way. I spend a lot of time there. I have joined every group and have a mixture of friends and colleagues there. I also feel safe and playful. It streams in my other SNS tools like Twitter, and I am not constantly being attacked by lingerie models wanting to become my friend. On Facebook, I am connected with 18-year-olds and 60-year-olds, including Arianna Huffington. Facebook is to Esquire as MySpace is to Hustler’s Barely Legal.

Esquire? Hmm. Maybe you could introduce me to Arianna. Right now, my Facebook experience makes me think that Facebook is to “Highlights” magazine as MySpace is to Penthouse.
Though actually, I must be on the wrong MySpace groups, because all I get is relentless movie promos. Where’s the titillation?
