Extreme Publicity is the New Black

Cory Bergman coined the term extreme publicity as a way of describing the current flood of “a hacker did it” publicity stunts.

Paris Hilton had her Sidekick II by T-Mobile hacked by a “malicious hacker.”

Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit had his computer’s hard drive hacked by a malicious hacker as well.

Both “hacks” resulted in some pretty sexy stuff: some erotic photos of Paris, including one in which she is kissing a girl. Durst’s video is a straight garden variety sex tape.

Since Lindsay Lohan is known for her Sidekick II obsession, will we be seeing something from her as well? And guess what? It will probably be thanks to a malicious hacker as well.

As they say, there is no such thing as bad publicity.

And the list goes on, including never-ended crotch shots and, through escalation, Paris Hilton serving jail time.
